A Cookbook for Iwan
We’re delighted to introduce ‘A Cookbook for Iwan’. Originally created by Manuela Wirth as a gift for her husband Iwan, the book reflects the appreciation of good, honest food that the Artfarm co-founders and owners share.
Featuring over 200 recipes gathered from the personal culinary repertoires of contemporary artists, curators, chefs, and collectors, ‘A Cookbook for Iwan ’ is an opportunity to discover and recreate the breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks, and desserts that fuel the art world’s global community.

Floral Workshop

Join floral designer Molly for an inspiring hands-on workshop at Manuela, where you’ll create your own seasonal arrangement using beautiful fall blooms and expert guidance. Halloween at Manuela
Saturday October 31st
Celebrate Halloween in the heart of the Arts District with an evening of festive fun at Manuela. Start with neighbourhood trick-or-treating from 5–7pm, when local businesses across the district will be handing out sweets, before joining us from 7–11pm for a spirited Halloween party across Manuela and the Hauser & Wirth complex. Expect costumes, chef-curated hot dogs, candy, live music, a DJ set, a ticketed magic show and complimentary tarot readings.

Manuela Wine Club
Monthly
Let us bring Manuela to you with our Wine Club. Sign up to our monthly subscription and enjoy two bottles every month, selected by Sommelier Brian Baeza. He will prioritise small producers and winemakers – some will be the kind of wines we always want on the table, others will be rarer finds. Members will receive tasting notes and perks, and can also opt into the Cellar Pick, a special bottle for those who like to chase the hard-to-find wines.

Looking to enjoy a meal al fresco? Our restaurant has ample outdoor dining space. Come in for brunch, lunch, or dinner and experience a meal amid the sunshine and a wealth of luscious green plants. You can also order drinks and food to go to dine in our garden area. In addition, our outdoor restaurant, courtyard, and garden area are available for hosting private events and group dinners!

Visit Our Chickens
Don’t miss the chance to visit our chickens. In addition to growing some of our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, our garden area is home to our flock of chickens. They provide us with fresh eggs and help support our composting & sustainability efforts. Swing by the coop and say hi next time you join us at the restaurant.

Jack Whitten: The Numinous

Following the late artist’s critically acclaimed 2025 retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, Hauser & Wirth are pleased to present ‘The Numinous,’ an exhibition of Jack Whitton’s paintings and works on paper from the 1980s, this fall at the gallery’s Downtown Los Angeles space. The exhibition focuses on a pivotal and still under-examined period in Whitten’s six-decade career, where technical innovation and spiritual inquiry came together with new force.

Glen Ligon: Sit So Your Back Isn't Against The Door

On view together for the first time in over 25 years this fall at Hauser & Wirth Downtown Los Angeles, Glenn Ligon’s Coloring Book paintings reveal a rarely seen facet of the artist’s practice. Conceived during a 1999 – 2000 residency at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the series began when Ligon invited children to color pages from Afrocentric coloring books of the late 1960s and early 1970s before translating their uninhibited markings into large-scale paintings. Colorful and exuberant on first encounter, the works unfold into a rich meditation on history, authorship and the shifting nature of meaning.
