General

Where is Manuela located?

Manuela is located at 907 E 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Our restaurant is in the arts district surrounded by a community of artists, boutique businesses, and historic buildings.

How do I get to the restaurant?

The restaurant is within the Hauser and Wirth complex. Our main entrance is off E 3rd Street.

What hours are you open?

Manuela is open at the following times:

Monday
5:30- 10 pm
Tuesday through Friday
Lunch from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Dinner from 5:30 – 10 pm
Saturday
Brunch from 10 am – 2:30 pm
Dinner 5:30 – 10 pm
Sunday
Brunch from 10 am – 2:30 pm
Dinner from 5:30 – 9 pm.

What are the bar hours?

Our published hours of operation refer to when we offer full restaurant service each day. Our bar remains open for beverage service between AM and PM service Tuesday-Sunday.

Is there parking available around Manuela?

Valet service is offered at the entrance to the gallery complex for $22, and there is limited street parking in the area. We also recommend the Aliso parking garage across 3rd street. Please note that Manuela does not currently offer validation for parking

Is Manuela ADA accessible?

Yes, the Hauser and Wirth complex offers an ADA-compliant lift at our main entrance on 3rd Street.  For usage of our ramp on 2nd Street, please email us at info@manuela-la.com so we can coordinate use for your visit. Additionally, Manuela’s dining room offers ADA-friendly seating and ramps to our terrace level.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and cash.

Is the garden/courtyard open year-round?

The garden and courtyard are open year-round.  Our garden area closes daily at 10 pm, and the courtyard of the Hauser and Wirth complex is open from 11 am – 6 pm Tuesday through Sunday while the gallery has an active exhibition.

What else is there to do in the area?

We’re surrounded by local boutique businesses, museums including MOCA and the Broad, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, downtown Los Angeles, and historic Little Tokyo.

Do you have TVs to watch sports or events?

While we don’t have TVs on premises, we do have a private room that you can book to host your own private viewing party. Get more information by emailing events@manuela-la.com. We recommend contracting an AV company for any screen or projection needs.

What is the dress code?

Our dress code is casual. Much of our seating is outdoor, so we advise checking the weather and bringing layers when needed.

Do I need to make a reservation?

We take walk-ins, but reservations are highly recommended.

Is there a cancellation or no-show policy?

No-shows or parties who cancel reservations within less than 2 hours are charged a $25 per person cancellation fee. Events and large party reservations are subject to the cancellation fee outlined in their contract.

Do I need to make a reservation for a large group?

Yes, we advise making a reservation for large groups to ensure you are seated promptly. Groups of 12 or more are required to book through our events department and select a menu in advance. Depending on the size of your group, we can offer prix fixe menu options or canapé and buffet options.

What kind of food do you serve?

Native to Los Angeles, Chef Kris Tominaga draws inspiration from the seasonal produce of Southern California. He combines quality ingredients from acclaimed purveyors with surrounding influences to create dishes that reflect Los Angeles culture.

Do you offer vegetarian and vegan options on your menu?

Yes, much of our food is plant-based and seasonally focused, so we offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.  Please note that our main dishes are primarily protein-focused, accompanied by fruits and vegetables. Be sure to ask your server for guidance.

Do you cater to dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate dietary restrictions. Our staff can also assist you in navigating our menus to help you make informed choices. Please feel free to call us in advance to discuss dietary needs.

Is there outdoor seating?

Yes, we have a garden and courtyard area available. Each is surrounded by beautiful greenery and plant life. Don’t forget to visit our chickens in the garden area.

 

Can I dine in the garden?

We do not provide service in the garden space, but guests are welcome to order beverages and to-go food from the bar to enjoy there. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are also welcome in the garden. Please note private events may impact the availability of this space.

Do you have a happy hour?

Right now, we do not have a happy hour, but we still encourage you to swing by for seasonal cocktails, beer, wine, and NA drink options available during open hours.

Do you have NA options?

Yes, we offer a wide variety of non alcoholic options like kombuchas, juices, seasonal NA cocktails, coffee service, and more.

Can I come for just drinks?

Yes, you are welcome to sit at the bar and just come for drinks as long as space allows. Tables are reserved for full dining experiences. Drinks may be brought out to the garden space or in the gallery courtyard. Please note drinks are not permitted inside the actual gallery spaces.

 

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we take walk-ins, but we cannot always guarantee immediate seating without a reservation. While walk-in traffic can opt for a table when available, please note our bar area and our chef’s counter are strictly reserved for walk-ins.

Can we book for groups or private events?

Do you host public events?

Can I buy out the entire restaurant?

Do you do weddings?

Yes we have a variety of wedding options, from weddings in the garden to exclusive buyouts of the whole property. Please inquire for more information.

Kids & Pets

Is Manuela family-friendly?

Yes, our restaurant is family-friendly. Children are free to enjoy our on-site garden and chickens. We also recommend reviewing the Hauser and Wirth calendar before your visit, as the gallery frequently offers family workshops.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed in outdoor seating areas. However, please let us know on your reservation that you are bringing a pet so we can plan your seating arrangements before your visit. Otherwise, accommodations are not guaranteed.

What family-friendly activities are near the restaurant?

There are many family-friendly activities near Manuela. We always suggest checking out events at Hauser & Wirth, which are often free. In addition, we are not far from downtown attractions like the California Science Center, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, and more.

Art

What is Manuela’s relationship with Hauser & Wirth?

Manuela is an Artfarm property, the sister business to Hauser & Wirth, and also founded by Iwan and Manuela Wirth.

Is it possible to have a private tour of the artwork on display at Manuela?

While we are unable to provide this service, we encourage you to inquire with Hauser & Wirth. All of our art is labeled with names and titles. You can also learn more on our Art Page.
