Manuela is open at the following times:

Our published hours of operation refer to when we offer full restaurant service each day. Our bar remains open for beverage service between AM and PM service Tuesday-Sunday.

Valet service is offered at the entrance to the gallery complex for $22, and there is limited street parking in the area. We also recommend the Aliso parking garage across 3rd street. Please note that Manuela does not currently offer validation for parking

While we don’t have TVs on premises, we do have a private room that you can book to host your own private viewing party. Get more information by emailing events@manuela-la.com. We recommend contracting an AV company for any screen or projection needs.

Our dress code is casual. Much of our seating is outdoor, so we advise checking the weather and bringing layers when needed.

No-shows or parties who cancel reservations within less than 2 hours are charged a $25 per person cancellation fee. Events and large party reservations are subject to the cancellation fee outlined in their contract.

Yes, we advise making a reservation for large groups to ensure you are seated promptly. Groups of 12 or more are required to book through our events department and select a menu in advance. Depending on the size of your group, we can offer prix fixe menu options or canapé and buffet options.

Yes, much of our food is plant-based and seasonally focused, so we offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.  Please note that our main dishes are primarily protein-focused, accompanied by fruits and vegetables. Be sure to ask your server for guidance.

Yes, we have a garden and courtyard area available. Each is surrounded by beautiful greenery and plant life. Don’t forget to visit our chickens in the garden area.

We do not provide service in the garden space, but guests are welcome to order beverages and to-go food from the bar to enjoy there. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are also welcome in the garden. Please note private events may impact the availability of this space.

Right now, we do not have a happy hour, but we still encourage you to swing by for seasonal cocktails, beer, wine, and NA drink options available during open hours.

Yes, we offer a wide variety of non alcoholic options like kombuchas, juices, seasonal NA cocktails, coffee service, and more.

Yes, you are welcome to sit at the bar and just come for drinks as long as space allows. Tables are reserved for full dining experiences. Drinks may be brought out to the garden space or in the gallery courtyard. Please note drinks are not permitted inside the actual gallery spaces.

We serve a selection seasonal cocktails and NA options at Manuela alongside classics such as our House Negroni and House Martini. Our signature mezcal cocktails are a must try! We do our utmost to minimize waste at Manuela and many of our cocktails are garnished with produce from our garden.

Yes, we take walk-ins, but we cannot always guarantee immediate seating without a reservation. While walk-in traffic can opt for a table when available, please note our bar area and our chef’s counter are strictly reserved for walk-ins.

To exclusively hire Manuela we can seat up to 200 or accommodate up to 250 standing. To hire out the whole complex including the Hauser & Wirth building we can accommodate up to 500 guests seated and 2000 standing.

Yes, the Manuela courtyard is available for private hire, we have a variety of events from dinners to weddings – for more details see our Private Events page.

There are many family-friendly activities near Manuela. We always suggest checking out events at Hauser & Wirth, which are often free. In addition, we are not far from downtown attractions like the California Science Center, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, and more.

Manuela is an Artfarm property, the sister business to Hauser & Wirth, and also founded by Iwan and Manuela Wirth.

If you would like to have a private tour of the artwork, please do get in touch with us can speak to Hauser & Wirth to advise if this can be arranged. All of our art is labeled with names and titles. You can also learn more on our Art Page.

Manuela is housed inside the same building as the Hauser & Wirth Downtown LA gallery which features rotating free art exhibitions and learning activities. In the restaurant itself, you’ll find original works and specially commissioned paintings and sculptures from the likes of Paul McCarthy, Mark Bradford, Franz West, Mary Heilmann, Raymond Pettibon, Dieter Roth, Subodh Gupta, and more.

We do change some of the artwork from time to time, but our specially-commissioned paintings and sculptures were created for the restaurant and are therefore permanently on view. The gallery have regularly changing exhibitions, however, often featuring works by the artists who adorn our walls.
